NOTICE BOARD

Hi everyone,

We are already almost half way through season 2!! All teams will finish up on September 13/14 (except Senior boys who finish up this week (Sept 6).

Training will not be held during the school holidays unless your coaches run sessions. Please be sure to keep checking your chats.

ANNOUNCEMENT:

Sunnybank Hills Hurricanes have entered into a community partnership with the Brisbane Bullets.

This will benefit the players, our coaches and also give families a chance to get more involved. If any parents are looking to potentially coach/assistant coach a team, we will be helping you get a LEVEL 1 training certificate, so please get in touch with me ASAP. It will also allow us to bring some coaches in for further skills training and run some community training sessions.

In addition to all of this, through a grant we received earlier this year, we will also have the opportunity to invest in some new equipment for training. Keep an eye out for it later this season.

I'd officially like to welcome Alvin to the Hurricanes committee. He will be taking over as treasurer from Leon, who will now move into the VP role with a focus on building the Hurricanes and the brand of basketball we play and promote. The club is moving forward and looking to strengthen our position in the community, and we would love for you all to be involved. We have some more exciting things in the pipeline for 2025 already. Please let me know if you would be interested in joining our team.
